So DOGone Stylish

I love all things Martha Stewart related, so I was happy when she started a pet line with Petsmart. I saw the commercials of the products on TV, but was super impressed when I saw the products in person. Each item has Martha's touch, but I wouldn't expect anything less :) Here's  a few items I would love to buy for Mojo.

 I love the fabric harness, which felt like a really nice quality. Our little dog has a lot of energy when were out walking with him - so this stylish harness would do the trick.

I just adore the Bone Handled Treat Jar, so cute it would look perfect on kitchen counters on in our bookcase. This would be a nice upgrade for the plastic container I currently use that's missing. I plan on buying the white jar soon!
Next up the cute Toy Storage bin. At first glance it looks like any other fabric bin, until you look at the sticking on the bin, little bones! I also adore the bone Chew Toys & Chicken Coop! Which is beyond adorable and could double as a baby toy, lol

For sure I'll be picking the treat jar sometime this week, and eventually upgrading Mojo's boring camouflage collar and buying a cute toy here and there.

Have you seen Martha Stewart Pets line at Petsmart yet? Don't you love how Martha transforms the blah?

Dog Days of Summer

"Dog Days" (Latin: diēs caniculārēs) are the hottest, most sultry days of summer. Dog Days can also define a time period or event that is very hot or stagnant, or marked by dull lack of progress. The name comes from the ancient belief that Sirius, also called the Dog Star, was somehow responsible for the hot weather - Wikipedia { the Know Everything Source }

This is exactly what's been happening in our Casa at the moment, lots of projects to complete for our sons redo, but little progress. The weather is finally cooling off into the low to mid 90's in Northern California, after dealing with 100+ degree weather over the weekend. We'll take any 'cool down' we can get - lol

Meanwhile, Mojo and the family have been chilling in side playing: Uno, Connect Four and lots of Chess.

Have you been experiencing the Dog Days of Summer?

Beyond the Basics

Last week I was reading a great post from Jenny from Anything Pretty. She was talking about how she upgraded her dogs bedding, with cute fabric. She did a wonderful job, and got me thinking. Mojo's { our dog } current bedding it's lumpy and let's be honest ugly. I took my inspiration from Jenny and decided to upgrade Mojo's bed. I was going to look for some fun fabric at Ikea next time I stopped in there { Ikea has great modern funky printed fabric }

Over the weekend in Mr CLH and I stopped in West Elm - love that store! I was looking for two things: great stuff for our bedroom and inspiration. I popped in the clearance section, and found a great Euro pillow cover with grey links. I thought cool, it will work in our room and it was only $ $3.97- yup a crazy good deal. Remember spend a few extra minutes in the clearance section of stores, you never know what you'll find.

Only one problem with the Euro sham, they only had one. Then it dawned on me, it would be perfect for Mojo! I used an extra Euro pillow we already had, and viola new doggies bed. As I said his current bed is lumpy and a pain to wash and dry, I'm always afraid it will fall apart.

Isn't his new bed cute? Not only does it match our room, it looks like a stylish element on the floor and does double duty as Mojo's bed.

I still plan on making one more bed for our living room, of course I want a bright yellow and my husband is like no more yellow!

Don't Mess with Mojo

My dog is a bada$$, yeah he's only 7 pounds but trust me he rocks his black hoodie scull & cross bones like he's a  big dog. Yes I'm one of 'those people' who put clothes on their dogs, BUT he gets cold  { he only wears sweaters and hoodies in the winter }. Like most Chihuahua's when he gets excited or nervous he shakes, he also follows me whenever I go (not sure if this is a small dog thing) so its superhard to get 'money shots' of him.

Meet Mojo or as I somtimes call him MoMo

What makes Mojo a bada$$?
  •  He's a mini watch dog
  •  He only eats organic, sometimes I do catch him with a bone!
  •  He might be small suffers from small dog syndrome  but he'll still bark at big dogs
  •  His best friend is a Boston Terrier, but he calls the shots when they play
  •  He can rock his clothes and still look cute tough
  •  He watches supervises us doing yardwork
